(CuisineWire.Org) – CHICAGO—The savory patty will take center stage THIS WEEKEND at the inaugural Roscoe Village Burger Fest on Saturday and Sunday, July 10-11, on Belmont at Damen in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.

Sumptuous burgers, live music, arts & crafts and activities for kids will highlight the weekend. In addition, visitors will be able to vote for Chicago's best burger.

The burger vendors are:
-The Bad Apple in Lincoln Square
-Lakeview's Select Cut Steakhouse
-The Village Tap in Roscoe Village
-Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro in the North Center neighborhood
-John's Place with locations in Lincoln Park and Roscoe Village
-Goose Island Brewpubs, Chicago
-Ye Olde Town Inn, Mt. Prospect, Ill.

Headlining the music stage lineup will acclaimed rockers 10,000 Maniacs (Saturday) and the Gin Blossoms (Sunday). Among others performing on Roscoe Village Burger Fest's two stages will be jazz/funksters Liquid Soul, lauded Chicago chamber popsters Canasta, singer/songwriter Seth Bradley, and pop/folk rocker Cameron McGill.

Burger Fest hours are Noon-10:00 p.m. both days. The gate donation is $5 before 5:00 p.m.; $7 after 5:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.
