(CuisineWire.Org) – PHILADELHIA, PA-Celebrity chef Maria Liberati comes to Whole Foods Market in Fairfax/Fair Lakes, Virginia for a Taste of Tuscany cooking demonstration and wine pairing. Liberati will be teaching some of her favorite Tuscan style summer picnic dishes on July 18 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. inside the Whole Foods Market.

Author of the bestselling book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking, Maria Liberati will be preparing a four course meal of authentic Tuscan picnic recipes paired with four selected wines. Recipes will be from The Basic Art of Italian Cooking cookbook along with Ms. Liberati’s cooking school in Tuscany. This is a free demonstration that is open to the public. Participants will get the opportunity to sample the recipes being prepared by Maria, and also learn to recreate a few of the recipes on their own during the demonstration.

Maria Liberati is regularly featured in many national and international publications and has been called the "Italian Martha Stewart" by Celebrity Society Magazine (June 2006) and is considered one of the foremost experts on Italian Cuisine and culture. The Basic Art of Italian Cooking consists of simple recipes intertwined with a fascinating collection of memoirs of her travels through Italy. Her second book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking: Holidays & Special Occasions is set to release in September.
